Dr. Kendra A. King Momon is a professor of politics at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in Atlanta, Georgia, where she serves as Associate Provost of Academic Affairs and has also held the role of Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Her work at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø includes directing the Rich Foundation Urban Leadership Program and advancing initiatives that support student leadership development and academic excellence.
A scholar of political science, Dr. King Momon specializes in urban politics, African American politics, political theory, and leadership development. She is widely recognized for her interdisciplinary approach, connecting political analysis with cultural, spiritual, and community leadership frameworks.
Dr. King Momon is the author of African American Politics, a noted examination of minority politics in the United States, as well as Being As Leading: Your Roadmap to Shaping Culture Through Life’s Disruptions (2020), which explores leadership in times of change. Her commentary and scholarship have been featured in leading national media outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
She earned her Ph.D. in political science from The Ohio State University and her B.A. from Colby College. Based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Dr. Kendra A. King Momon continues to shape conversations around politics, leadership and civic engagement through her writing and scholarship at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
