The production will be directed by Elisa Carlson and presented by Georgia Classic Theatre, a company founded by former Georgia Shakespeare artists committed to preserving and advancing classical theater in Atlanta.

One of Shakespeare鈥檚 most enduring tragedies, 鈥淢acbeth鈥� follows a Scottish nobleman whose ambition is awakened by a prophecy that he will become king. Encouraged by his wife, Lady Macbeth, he pursues power through betrayal and violence, setting in motion a chain of events that leads to guilt, paranoia and ultimately his downfall. The play remains a gripping exploration of ambition, morality and the corrupting influence of power.
