Volunteers create cards at the MLK, Jr. Day of Service 2024.ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s annual MLK Day of Service is here! Join together with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø alumni, students, faculty and staff to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in a variety of service projects. There will be both on and off campus service opportunities. Please review the options below and RSVP to let us know your project preference.

Volunteers will gather at 8 a.m. at the Turner Lynch Campus Center (TLCC) where a guest speaker will kick off our day of service alongside Chick-fil-a breakfast.

Service Projects

Chastain Park

Help maintain Chastain Park by planting flowers, removing invasive plants and clearing brush and debris to restore historic pavilions.

The Chastain Park Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the stewardship of Troy Chastain Memorial Park’s natural and historic resources. Their mission is to restore, enhance, maintain and preserve the unencumbered areas of the Park for its over 3.2 million annual visitors.

Path Academy

Help develop and maintain PATH Academy by helping out with a painting project. After breakfast, volunteers will walk from campus to the neighboring Path Academy for the project. 

PATH Academy’s mission is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment in which refugee, immigrant and local children from the Chamblee, Doraville and Clarkston areas in DeKalb County, Georgia can develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to succeed in top-quality high schools.

Ronald McDonald House

 Travel off campus to the Ronald McDonald House to serve brunch for families in need. 

Ronald McDonald House provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare. They provide support to families who are caring for their sick or injured child.
