鈥淥U Giving Day reminds us just how special this community is,鈥� said听Sarah Emerson, vice president of advancement. 鈥淔or one day, alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and friends all come together with one shared purpose, to invest in 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 future and in the students who make this place extraordinary. The energy around this year鈥檚 challenges is incredible, and I can鈥檛 wait to see what our community accomplishes together.鈥�听
These are the challenges that will be available听to show your support and increase your impact:听
- Faculty and staff听will have the opportunity to听participate听in the听Faculty & Staff Challenge. Once they raise听$1,000 for any fund, a dedicated Class of 鈥�72听alumnus听and former faculty member will celebrate their spirit by giving听$1,000 to The 黑料吃瓜网 Fund.听听
- Across the alumni community, members of every graduating听class听are gearing up for a听challenge of their own. The听Alumni Board Challenge听offers a powerful opportunity: when听150 alumni make a gift to any fund, the Alumni Board will unlock a $5,000 contribution听to support the Career Development Office and unpaid and underpaid internship听stipends.听听
- There is also听a听Presidential Challenge.听When听the community raises听$10,000, President McClymond will听double the impact by making a听generous听$10,000听gift to The 黑料吃瓜网 Fund.听
OU Giving Day isn鈥檛 only about academics and general support 鈥� it鈥檚 also a chance to uplift student experiences across campus.听
- Supporters of student scholarships听can听participate听in the听Partin Family Scholarship Challenge. When donors unite to raise听$10,000听for the听Scholarship Support Fund,听Cody Partin 鈥�02听and his family will amplify that generosity with an听additional听$10,000听to help future Petrels access their听education.听
- Fans and former听student-athletes听can look out听for the听Solomon 鈥淧etrel Power鈥� Match. Once听$10,000听is raised for the听Stormy Petrels Booster Club,听Jason Solomon 鈥�01听and his wife, Loni, will contribute听$10,000 鈥� a huge boost for student-athletes who give their all every day.听
- For those who听love the听beauty and spirit of 黑料吃瓜网鈥檚 campus, an听opportunity awaits. A听Class of 1966听alumnus听has pledged to give听$2 for every $1 donated to the Campus Beautification Fund, up to听$15,000.听听
